straight twisted round wire refers to a specific type of archwire composed of multiple small-diameter round strands  3  twisted tightly together to form a single, straight-length wire. This design is primarily used for its high flexibility and ability to deliver light, continuous force during the initial stages of orthodontic treatment

• Composition: It consists of several strands of stainless steel round wire  / 3-strand “Tri-Flex” 
• Fixed Retainers:  used as lingual fixed retainers (bonded behind the teeth) because the twisted texture provides more surface area for bonding and allows for physiological tooth movement.
